For the Department of Radiation Oncology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center
Painted by members of Art in Action at D-E.
Over the course of multiple open studio sessions, members of AIA and supporting faculty created 13 paintings for the Department of Radiation Oncology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. The goal of these donations is to bring warmth to an environment where patients are receiving treatment for cancer. Pursuing this goal, artists were given the option to depict NYC or choose their own subjects. From this unrestrictive process an overarching theme of hope naturally emerged.
